West Virginia Governor Appoints Next District 9 State Senator

On January 23, 2018, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice appointed Karen Lynne Arvon to represent District 9 in the State Senate.

The seat was formerly occupied by Jeff Mullins, who resigned on January 12, 2018, to focus more on his family and business.

Prior to this appointment, Arvon has been serving as the District 31 representative in the House of Delegates and is also serving as the office manager for MyCare, Inc., a medical group practice in Beckley, West Virginia.
