Our business proudly serves certain natural persons residing in the EU/EEA (each, a “consumer”). This Supplemental Privacy Statement for GDPR explains rights that EU/EEA consumers may have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective as of May 2018, set out to define very specific data protection practices to ensure that companies which process and secure personal data offer residents of the European Union and United Kingdom more transparency and control of their personal data.  Information about this regulation can be found at https://gdpr.eu/

IMPORTANT: GDPR distinguishes between a “Controller” and a “Processor” (or similar terms).

Leadership Connect is a Controller for those Services where we make decisions on how personal information is used in connection with our Services, and we are responsible for the obligations of a “controller” under applicable laws in connection with the processing of personal information.

Leadership Connect is also a Processor for those Services where we use personal information, and we are responsible for the obligations of a “processor” under applicable laws in connection with the processing of personal information.

Our customers are similarly responsible for the obligations of a Controller under applicable laws in connection with the processing of personal information.

Data Governance & Security

With a focus on our client’s reputations, Leadership Connect employs a team of security and privacy subject matter experts dedicated to the security of our products and data.

Our Data Privacy program is run by our Chief Privacy Officer, located in the United States and reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer.

Our Information Security program is led by our Chief Technology Officer, who is responsible for the storage and dissemination of data across the world.

Customer Contracts

Since most Leadership Connect products make available customer or other personal data, we amended our customer contracts in line with GDPR to provide the necessary GDPR commitments to our customers, while allowing them to demonstrate their own compliance with GDPR.

If you are using our Services through one of our customers, you should contact them if you have questions or concerns about the processing of your personal information or compliance with applicable laws.
