Mark Lukasiewicz has been named the next dean of the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University.
An Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist and executive, Lukasiewicz spent 17 years at NBC, supervising coverage of global events such as the death of Osama Bin Laden and the visit of Pope Francis to the United States, as well as interviews with Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
Prior to NBC, Lukasiewicz spent 11 years with ABC News, where he served as an executive producer of “Good Morning America,” as a senior producer of “World News Tonight with Peter Jennings,” and as a senior producer of “PrimeTime LIVE with Diane Sawyer and Sam Donaldson.”
Lukasiewicz also spent time serving as an adjunct professor of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
