The Des Moines Register Hires New Politics Editor

Effective mid-March 2018, Rachel E. Stassen-Berger will assume the position of politics editor at the Des Moines Register, overseeing the politics and policy team.

This includes coverage of state government and politics, healthcare, Iowa’s congressional delegation and the Iowa caucuses.

Stassen-Berger previous served as Capitol Bureau chief for the St. Paul Pioneer Press from 2015 to 2017, and prior to that as state politics reporter for the Star Tribune.

Stassen-Berger has covered politics and government in Minnesota for 20 years.
