This week, the Oregon Court of Appeals announced James C. Egan as its next Chief Judge effective January 2, 2018. Judge Egan replaces former Chief Judge Erika Hadlock, who will remain on the bench. Judge Egan, the former Linn County attorney and Circuit Court Judge, has served on the Oregon Court of Appeals for the last five years. Once settled into this new role, Judge Egan will no longer decide cases on a daily basis and will now manage the court.
