Multiple Trump nominees were confirmed by the U.S. Senate over the past week. Among them was Robert P. Storch, who was confirmed to be inspector general of the National Security Agency (NSA). Storch will join the NSA from the Department of Justice (DOJ), where he served as an attorney for over twenty years. He started at DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General in July 2012 as counselor to the inspector general and, in 2014, he was promoted to senior counsel to the inspector general. Storch served as acting deputy inspector general in 2014 before taking on the position permanently in 2015. He graduated from Harvard University in 1982 and earned a law degree from Columbia University in 1985.
