President Trump nominated Lisa J. Porter to be deputy under secretary for research and engineering at the Department of Defense.
Porter currently serves as executive vice president of In-Q-Tel and as a director of IQT Labs.
Porter’s federal career also includes time as a director at the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity, as an associate administrator at NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, and as a senior scientist at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
If confirmed by the Senate, Porter will join the new Research and Engineering Under Secretary Michael D. Griffin.
