Rep. Womack Named Chairman of House Budget Committee

Representative Steve Womack (R-AR, 3rd) was named Chairman of the powerful House Budget Committee, replacing Representative Diane Black (R-TN, 6th). Black, who is running for Senate in Tennessee, chaired the panel for roughly a year, replacing former Representative Tom Price (R-GA, 6th).

Womack will lead the committee over hearings on President Donald Trump’s 2019 budget request, and the crafting of a House Republican budget resolution.
