The hierarchy of WEC Energy Group Inc. has been rejiggered as the Milwaukee-based utility company announced the creation of an “Office of the Chair,” adding four senior company leaders to head the office. This was prompted by the naming of Chairman and CEO Gale Klappa as executive chairman. Current President Kevin Fletcher was named as Klappa’s successor.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Scott Lauber moves up to senior executive vice president, CFO and treasurer. Rounding out the additions to the new office is senior executive vice president Rick Kuester. All appointments will take effect on Feb. 1.
