On January 31st, On Assignment, Inc. announced an agreement to acquire privately-held ECS Federal, LLC for $775 million.
ECS is a major government contractor, ranking at #63 in the 2017 Washington Technology Top 100 list.
After the transaction closes, ECS will continue to operate under its own name under the leadership of CEO George Wilson.
On Assignment expects to complete the acquisition on April 2, 2018. On that same date, the company will also change its name to ASGN Incorporated to reflect On Assignment’s evolution beyond its original focus on staffing services.
