Today, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) announced that Robert S. Wetherbee would become president and chief executive officer of the company, as well as join it’s Board of Directors, on January 1, 2019.
Robert Wetherbee
Wetherbee has been serving as the president of ATI’s Flat-Rolled Products group since 2014. Prior to joining ATI, Wetherbee spent 29 years at Alcoa serving in a variety of leadership roles, including as vice president of market strategy.
Wetherbee succeeds Richard J. Harshman, who will remain as executive chairman of ATI until his retirement on May 9, 2019.
Upon Harshman’s retirement, Diane C. Creel, currently lead independent director, will assume the role of Board Chair.
