AP Names Lisa Mascaro as Chief Congressional Correspondent

Julie Pace, AP’s Washington bureau chief, announced today that Lisa Mascaro has joined the Associated Press as a chief congressional correspondent.

Mascaro fills a position that has been vacant since late last year when the previous Chief Congressional Correspondent Erica Werner left the news service to join The Washington Post as a congressional economic policy correspondent.

Lisa Mascaro was most recently a Washington-based congressional correspondent for the Los Angeles Times.
